About Me

Hello! My name is Lexi Menth and I am currently pursuing a Masters of Entomology at Washington State University and have a Bachelors of Science in Biology from University of Washington. I love learning about all the fascinating animals, plants, fungi, and other life forms found on this planet, and I also love writing. My greatest passion is animal behavior and intelligence. Why is that animal doing that? What are the causes behind its behavior? What’s going on in its mind? These are some of the questions that I like thinking about and exploring through observation, and my own research. I think science is something that needs to be made more accessible and relatable to people of all levels of education and backgrounds. This is something I aim to do with this blog. I also believe it should be fun, and humor is an excellent tool for learning. If something is funny, you are more likely to remember it! That is one reason why my articles can often be humorous, even risqué, at times. It makes the presentation of science fun and memorable, even if while discussing complex ideas.
